Miraquel
Miraquel, or King as I've first known her was the make-up artist for our photoshoot with ShutterXP. She goes by the name Basha and Miray. Even with the many names, there is one thing that would stand out, her sense of humor.

In this album: Pau Paramio

the tradition of the new...I met Pau Paramio in a ShutterXP project. For most of the ka-Pamilya Filipinos, she is a familiar face from "Deal or no Deal". She hails from the province of Nueva Ecija and used to travel back and forth when she was a hopeful applicant in ABS-CBN.

Lee Ann
Lee Ann was probably the very first model that I was able to use strobes and the first model that I was able to shoot. More than a year after, I'm glad I was able to have another opportunity to take photos of her.

Cinematica

17 November 2010

For the longest time, I have been saying that I don't like using strobes or flashes. It was in a recent workshop that I attended where I realized, that it was not ambient lighting that I preferred. I preferred photographs with a great play of lights and shades. A photograph that would seem like it was taken from a movie would catch my attention more than just a simple sharp and well-exposed photograph. As the term I have adopted a few months before would connote "chiaroscuros".

Pan de Amerikana: is the place to be.

16 November 2010

A few months back, a friend of mine and I were looking for places where we could just hang around and shoot. Many places today require permits and fees for a small group of people to use their facilities to shoot, even public places. While browsing through Google, I came upon a list of interesting places that could be used as a venue for photoshoots. And it listed Pan de Amerikana in Marikina as a great place to use.
